And that’s the reason I’m also pretty sure that you for sure have come across the problem of “This video is not available in your country” errors, right?
And that’s what I aim at solving in this piece today. This article will be your Quick Fix of This Video Is Not Available In Your Country Error.
Quick Fix of This Video Is Not Available In Your Country Error
Well I know some videos are not made public, or even if they are they aren’t allowed to be viewed in every country by the uploader, but that’s the problem isn’t it? You just have to consider it no matter what, so well let me walk you through on how you can view videos blocked in your country.
Oh, don’t worry the methods I’m sharing over here are totally free, so it’s not like I’m trying to sell you something.
Steps to Bypass Video not Available in your country error using Google Chrome Extensions
I’ll be sharing as many as 5 different methods for you to watch country-restricted videos in this article, but let’s start with the easiest one.
You have to be using Google Chrome to be able to use this strategy. What you’ll be needing is an extension that goes by the name of “Hola Extension”.
Of course, it’s free, and you can download it from here. Download the Hola extension and install it on your Chrome browser.
Once the extension is successfully installed, just click on the video that you’re unable to play. It, of course, will greet you with the Video not available in your country error, and that’s exactly what we will be bypassing.
So okay I take it as you’re on the video, it’s giving you the error, and you’ve successfully installed Hola, right? Now, just click on the extension icon on the top-right corner of you browser.
Clicking on the extension would bring up some country icons for you, just select the American flag from there.
After selecting the American flag, just reload the page. And congratulations you just bypassed a restriction on Youtube.
Quick Fix of This Video Is Not Available In Your Country Error Using Proxies
So long story short, the error (feature as Youtube calls it) appears because the uploaders have not allowed the streaming of their videos in those specific countries.
But it’s not like Youtube calls you and asks you something like “Hey! Would you mind telling which country you’re from so that I can restrict you from watching the video”, right?
Instead, it determines your location using your IP address.
Which you just have to change using some of the great alternatives like free proxies. For, e.g., HideMyAss is a great option! Just download it, install it and run it.
It would change your location to any of your chosen destination, and thus, youtube won’t know that you’re not from that country, and hence you won’t have any problem playing that video.
Bypassing This Video Not Available In your Country Error by Downloading videos
So okay, Youtube says it won’t let you “stream” specific videos if you aren’t from that specific country, right?
Well, who cares? I mean it’s the “stream” that they won’t allow us to have, why not DOWNLOAD the videos! Well yeah, it’s possible.
Now, this comes in handy especially when you both want to “download” the video as well as bypass the error. Because normally downloading videos off youtube ain’t that easy, but well that’s exactly what I’m sharing with you here.
We will just be modifying the video URL to download the video and watch it offline!
- If the blocked Video URL is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12wD465k2j4, remove the “http://www.” part from it.
- So now, it would look like youtube.com/watch?v=12wD465k2j4.
- Now, add “ss” before the URL. ssyoutube.com/watch?v=12wD465k2j4.
- Now on the next page, just click on the Download button and select the video quality!
So that was it, folks, on how to bypass video not available in your country error on Youtube. If you still got issues, feel free to leave comments.
I’d say the first two methods work for sure, as they let you stream those videos on Youtube itself, without downloading them. While the last method would let you download the video and watch it offline.
So which method you go with, is your choice.
